My Blog

I have decided to start blogging! Please be patient with me as I have no internet, I have moved to Melton Mowbray with the husband and I love it here!

I am excited to have linked up with the lovely Amanda Smith so that we can put our heads together occasionally to challenge each other to increase our knowledge and skill.

You can expect evidence based, practical support and honest advice.

I am insured with Hiscox to consult on any issues you may be having or expect to meet in your feeding  relationships with your children. I am also insured to perform frenulotomy at your home address or at a clinic if necessary and desired.

I will provide a written assessment and plan that I will also copy to your GP.

Fees

Initial infant feeding assessment and support session £75(1Hr 30mins)

infant feeding support session (follow up) £45 (1Hr 30 mins)

Frenulotomy (also known as tongue tie release or tongue tie division) currently only available at home visits pending advice from the CQC regarding clinics £175 within 90 mins travelling, though I will consider up to three hours travelling please contact me for a quote.

Following frenulotomy most babies will feed immediately afterwards and often improvement can be noted. Infant feeding support will follow and hopefully a few more positions can be utilised to give you some options. Aftercare advice in the form of a written leaflet will be supplied as standard and this will be discussed with you. I will also be available to you following the procedure regarding any questions and everyone is welcome to visit my breastfeeding drop in group in Stamford at Broad Street on Wednesdays should you want any further positioning support.
